What are International Lounges?
The International Lounges not only offer information and provide multilingual consultation services to foreign residents, but they also conduct Japanese language classes, arrange volunteer interpreters and hold exchange activities that help foreign residents interact with native Japanese residents.
These International Lounges are established by the City of Yokohama and are run by groups of local residents, non-profit organizations etc. with the support of many volunteers.
