Publishing of "Yokohama Yokohama" and "Yokohama Echo"

YOKE publishes newsletters geared to foreign residents. These newsletters "Yokohama Yokohama", available in 8 languages, and "Yokohama Echo" are meant to inform foreign residents of information that may be useful to their daily lives, of administrative services that are available to them, and information concerning special events in the city of Yokohama.

Citizen groups, both foreign and Japanese residents, help editing each newsletter.

Outlines of the publication

・Published on the 5th of every month (every other month in Vietnamese), A4 size, 4 pages.

・"Yokohama Yokohama" is available in Chinese (traditional and simplified), Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Easy Japanese.

・600-1,300 copies monthly.

・English version of "Yokohama Echo", 2,600 copies monthly.

・The newsletters are sent to International Lounges, the Foreign Registration section and Public Relation section of each ward office, public facilities such as libraries, international classes at elementary and junior high schools, ethnic groups and restaurants etc.

・If you or your group wishes to post international activity information on an event, contact the person in charge of "Yokohama Yokohama" or "Yokohama Echo" and provide the name of the event, date and time, place, fee, contact information and other pertinent information. The deadline for publication is the 5th of the previous month.

・If you would like a year-long subscription, send the person in charge at YOKE 960 yen stamps to cover mailing costs for a year along with your name, telephone number, and advise YOKE of the language in which you would like to receive the publication. Only foreign residents in Japan are eligible to receive the publications.
