Exported Ceramics made in Yokohama and Tokyo during the Meiji Period

During the Meiji Period, Japanese arts and crafts became very popular in Europe and America, and many ceramic works were exported. Craftsmen gathered from different parts of Japan to Tokyo and Yokohama to produce works which are appreciated in western countries. The exhibtion shows a rare collection of such works.
