Plant Trees to Make a Forest!

The city of Yokohama will plant a commemorative forest for the 150th port opening anniversary! This is a tree-planting ceremony in which you can take part in the planting of 1.5 million acorns donated by our own residents!

Summer Camp in Nippon-Maru

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Yokohama Port, campers will make cardboard replicas of the ships associated with the history of Yokohama, and also experience seafaring life on the sailing ship, Nippon Maru.

Get on Board and Look Inside Bosei Maru

Bosei Maru, an oceanic survey and training vessel owned by Tokai University, will be open to the public. There will also be a mini-aquarium and other events related to marine life.

You can walk into the cage and go near the elephants to feed them their snacks! This event is held every Sunday.

Dreamnight At The Zoo

This is an international event taking place all over the world. It is a night for seriously ill and disabled children to see the animals and have a great time! Nogeyama Zoo, Kanazawa Zoo, and Zoorasia seek participants for this year.
