An outline for Supplementary Income Payments (Teigaku-Kyufukin) is available. Further information regarding when and how to receive payments will be announced as soon as the details are arranged.
Eligibility: As of February 1, 2009 (that is the based date), those who are applicable to the following
①Those who are registered on the Copy of Basic Resident Register (only for Japanese)
②Those who are registered on the Copy of Foreign Register (except for those with Temporary Visitor status or those who are staying illegally)
*Note that you will receive payment from the municipality in which you are registered.
Sum of Payment: \12,000/Eligible person and
\20,000 for those who are over 65yrs old or under　18yrsd as of the based date.
Application・Recipient: Eligible head of household. * Foreign nationals are eligible individually.
Application・How to receive: Eligible recipients will receive an application form. Payment may be transfered to your bank account if you apply via postal mail. Cash payment may soon be available. *Attention: Beware of the　“Furikome Sagi, scam.　 Ward/ City employees will not inquire regarding Supplementary Income Payments over the phone. Please protect your personal information.

To stop the decrease in greenery within the City and to ensure a “green Yokohama” for the next generation, the City of Yokohama will enact new/expanding environmental measures in its “Yokohama Midori Appu Keikaku(The Yokohama “Increase the Green” Plan). Structured in 3 areas, it will focus on protection of Greenery farmland protection, greenery renewal.
Since most “green” areas are privately owned or involved in agricultural production, the City will begin April, 2009 to levy its “Yokohama Midori Zei (Green Tax) to support its by-back program.
Period of Implementation:
5 years from April, 2009
The Way of Taxation: Individual: \900/ year will be added to residential tax *There are some exceptions depending on income.
Corporation: Equivalent sum of 9% of residential tax will be added. *There are some
