Yamate Park is known as the birthplace of tennis in Japan. September 23 is Tennis Day, and at Yamate Park, you can participate in games such as target shooting, experience-the-past-game, volley drill, and also take a tennis lesson. There will also be small anniversary gifts for the participants.

On Aug.11 (Sat) and 12 (Sun), Kanazawa Zoo will hold its summer festival, Dobutsuen Natsumatsuri. The zoo open hours are extended to 20:30, and admission will be free on these two days. (Last entry is 19:30.) You can enjoy the night zoo, various events and stage shows.

This salon is a place where foreign parents and children learn Japanese and acquire necessary information to raise children in Japan. Themes such as kindergarten/school entrance, excursion/lunch box, vaccinations, Japanese events, disaster prevention, sickness/hospitals, and medical check-ups/dietary education/oral health, will be discussed. There will also be fun activities such as storytelling, and singing action songs with movements. Please participate in these programs with your children.

The U.S. Navy Negishi Housing will celebrate its annual Bon Odori Festival.
It is an open gate festival. A full day of activities and entertainment
is planned including the performance by the U.S. military band
and/or local rock band, both American and Japanese food & souvenir
stands, kids air-toy and picture-with-pony corner, Bon dance,
and more!
