Summer Night Concert

On the hills of Yamate, site of the first foreign settlement in Yokohama, seven western style houses (Yamate Seiyo Kan) are preserved by the city and are open to public. Taking advantage of the extended opening hours in July and August, various free concerts will be held in the houses by volunteer musicians. Concerts will feature pop, jazz, gospel, classical, and more.

The 30th “Hamakoi Odori” in the Yokohama Carnival

It is the season once again for this dynamic festival by and for Yokohama residents. Come and enjoy “Hamakoi Odori” modeled after the famous “Yosakoi Odori” dance in Kochi. There will be a competition with more than 70 contestant groups, food venders, and more.
