Yokohama Current Events & Activities

The Kanagawa Student Guide Federation (KSGF) established in 1973 is a student- oriented volunteer group that offers guided tours to Kamakura and Yokohama for foreigners. The Federation is now oriented by about 100 students of 4 universities in Yokohama.
Participating universities: Kanagawa University, Ferris University, Yokohama City University, and Yokohama National University
Principal Guided Courses:
①Kamakura: Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine→Kotokuin (Buddha statue)→Hase Temple
②Yokohama: Sankei-en garden→Minatono Mieru Oka Koen→China Town→Yamashita Park→Yokohama Bay Bridge
To Apply: ①For Kamakura Tour: On Sat. Sun. and holidays, members will be waiting at the east exit of Kamakura station between 10:00-12:00. Look for a member holding a blue flag with “Kanagawa Student Guide Federation”. You can also make an appointment ahead of time by contacting the number below.
②For Yokohama Tour: Tours will be conducted by appointments only. Please book ahead of time.
*No tours provided during Exams and New Year’s holiday season. The schedule is valid till end of March, 2012.

Gyoseishoshi Lawyers offer foreign residents counseling services on the following matters.
Contents on Counsel: Visa problems, Extending the period of stay, Changing the status of residence, Naturalization, Permanent visa, Long term resident visa, Certificate of eligibility, International marriage/divorce, Extraordinary permit or residence by Minister of Justice, Establishing a company/branch of foreign company, Getting licenses for business etc.
*Counseling is available only in Japanese.

This class, aimed at beginners, fully supports foreign residents who have started their new life in Japan. *Group lessons (6 groups. About 6 learners/group), twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), and 30 lessons/course.
