Subsidies for Purchasing Electric Compost Bin

Loan Available for High School Tuition

A loan of \70,000 is available for students who are planning to enter high school in April 2008.
The student’s guardian must be a resident of Yokohama to be eligible. Income level restrictions will apply.
Limit: 40 people
*Applications are subject to a screening process.
To Apply: The application will be available beginning Dec 22(Mon) and may be obtained online at the Board of Education website, or at the student’s junior high school or local ward office. Once completed it may be submitted through the student’s school.

Public Nursery Schools into “Privatization”

Since the fiscal year 2004, the city of Yokohama is promoting four licensed public nursery schools a year to transfer into private nursery schools. After privatization, various new services will start such as extended operation hours, etc.
The following nursery schools will be privatized in April, 2011.

“Yokohama South Youth Plaza” Opened

“Youth Plaza in the Area” supports those who have difficulties leaving their home to attend school or to go to work. . A second facility has also opened in Isogo Ward.
