Volunteer Vietnamese Interpreters are wanted. For foreign residents who need help in communication, your participation is greatly needed. (Tagalog, Cambodia, and Laotian Interpreters are also needed.)
To register as a volunteer interpreter:
Eligibility: Those who are 18 yrs old and over, live within or around City of Yokohama, have both Japanese and Vietnamese daily conversation skills and are available during the daytime on weekdays.
Date&Time: Between 8:45-17:15 on weekdays *Within 2 hrs/dispatching.
Location: Yokohama Municipal elementary and Jr. high schools, ward offices, Licensed nursery schools, etc. *Many dispatching to elementary and Jr. high schools in Izumi-ward.
Content: Interpreting at schools’ home visits and individual interviews, infant check up at ward offices, etc.
Reward: \2,000/dispatching as a transportation fee
