At Yokohama History Museum

①Gathering to enjoy the Japanese New Year
Let’s learn Japanese culture through trying on Kimono, tea ceremony, and traditional Japanese games.
Date&Time: Jan.13 (Sun), 13:00-16:00
Eligibility: Foreigners. *If you would like Japanese to accompany you, contact the lounge.
Limit: No limit for the gathering, but a limit of 15 people for trying Kimono on.

②Kangaroo Salon for foreign parents and children
This salon is a place where foreign parents and children learn Japanese and acquire necessary information to raise children in Japan. Themes such as kindergarten/school entrance, excursion/lunch box, vaccinations, Japanese events, disaster prevention, sickness/hospitals, and medical check-ups/dietary education/oral health, are being discussed. There are some fun activities such as storytelling, and singing action songs. The programs had already started, but come and join us with your children.

①Consultation Fair
Consultation specialists will be present to offer their services free of charge. No reservations required. Confidential.
Consultation Topics: Status of Residence, visa, international marriages, legal issues, social insurance, pension, work, labor, school/education, Japanese classes, financial planning, taxes, final tax declaration, and various other topics concerning in general by living in Japan.
②Free Health Checkup
The checkup includes: Chest X-ray, blood pressure check, urine exam, and medical consultation. Please do not eat on the day of your checkup.
③Disaster Prevention Fair
Obtain useful information for the time of earthquakes and fires. You will also be able to experience what an earthquake is like.

During this two-day event, there will be seminars and workshops on international cooperation, international exchange, multicultural coexistence, and reports on the activities of the foreign residents support groups.
