Get to know the international organisations in Yokohama in a relaxed environment. A wonderful chance to play soccer and cheer your team! Entries limited depending on the players, please register early.

We will be holding “Barrier-Free-Tennis Festival” in 2010 September 12th(Sun) at Shimizugaoka Park Gymnasium in Minami-ward, Yokohama.

We are happy many foreign disabled children living in Japan to join and have fun playing our “Barrier-Free-Tennis”.
Would you inform your community and their family or friend our activities.

Before the festival in September, we will hold same trial event for beforehand practice at Yokohama-Rapport (Shinyokohama).
It’s on June 27th(Sun) 10:30~12:00.
There are some our staff who can speak a little of English at there.

We can visit your place to perform and show our “Barrier-Free-Tennis “ relieve their mind if you request us.
Please realize “Easy” “Relief” “Fun”

You can do all activities hereinbefore free at any time.

What is “Barrier-Free-Tennis”
In our “Barrier-Free-Tennis”, we use soft sponge balls, shorter and lighter rackets for kids. We’d like to share the experience of tennis through rallies; of joy and satisfaction overcoming a barrier different language.
We invented our original “Barrier-Free-Tennis” and promote it as a opportunity of “International communication” “Sports for health” “Joy and Satisfaction” welfare consciousness”

In 2008, Nishino(President of BLACKSOX) visited local disabled school and performed “Barrier-Free-Tennis” communicated by “self-introduction” “greeting” “1 to 10” in local language.
In 2010, our staff visited Stuttgart international school in Germany and performed it.

Kodomo Teate (The New Child Allowance)

This new allowance will be provided to children until the last day of the school year (March 31) during which the child reaches the age of 15.
Recipients: Mothers or fathers of the eligible children, or their legal caretakers
Amount: \13,000 per child
Income Restrictions: None
Payment months: Three times a year; ①Jun, 2010 (for Apr and May), ②Oct, 2010 (for Jun thru Sep) and ③Feb, 2011 (for Oct thru Jan, 2011) From 2011 onwards, it will be; ①Jun (for Feb, thru May), ②Oct (for Jun thru Sep) and ③Feb (for Oct thru Jan)
Applicants: Applicants should be the person in the family who is the children’s main financial supporter.
To Apply: Application forms are being sent to the eligible families. Please fill them in, and return the forms to apply. In order to receive the allowance from June, you should apply by the end of May. However, if you apply by the end of September, you may receive the sum from June. You cannot receive the past payments if your application is later than October.
[Requirements for Foreigners]
Non-Japanese caretakers of the eligible children should meet the following requirements to be able to apply:
・Should have registered as a foreigner in Yokohama.
・Status of Residence should not be Short-Term or Entertainer. The term of residence should be more than one year. Applicants should work and stay in Japan as a basis of their living.

Kindergarten Tuition Subsidies

Subsidies of between \48,000 and \220,000 (depending on your residential tax submitted for 2010) will be provided to families with children who have enrolled in a private kindergarten between Apr.1 and Jun.1. (For children enrolled in a private kindergarten after Jun.2, please apply in Nov. 2010, or Feb. 2011.) The forms will be distributed at the end of Jun. to each kindergarten and may be submitted there.

Application for Public Housing for Elderly People

There will be a lottery held for placement on a primary waiting list to fill vacant apartments. These apartments are designed to provide a safe environment for senior citizens over 60, including barrier-free amenities and emergency call services. *There is no nursing care. *Housing will be available in the case of a vacancy between Aug.2010 and Jul.2011. *An income-dependent rent subsidy is available.
Eligibility: People who are living or working in Yokohama at the time of application. Age restrictions do apply.
To Apply: Fill out an application form available at any Ward Office Public Relation Section (Kuyakusho Koho-Sodan Kakari) or at Administrative Service Corners.
Application Period: Jun.16 to Jun.30 *Entries must be postmarked by Jun.30.

Pottery Class for Parents and Children

Come and enjoy time together while each of you roll strings of clay and pile them up to form mugs or plates. *Conducted in Japanese.

Eligibility: Elementary/Junior high school children with his/her parent
Limit: 10 pairs for each workshop chosen by lottery
Fee: \2,000 for adults, \1,500 for children (If there are two children in one group, it is \5,000 for the group)
