Port of Yokohama Tour by “Hamadori”

“Hamadori” is a marine publicity boat. Get on board and enjoy a view of the city of Yokohama from the sea!

Learn About Creatures in the River

In this program for children, you will learn about the creatures that live in the rivers running through Yokohama's forests.

Summer Night Concert

On the hills of Yamate, site of the first foreign settlement in Yokohama, seven western style houses (Yamate Seiyo Kan) are preserved by the city and are open to the public. During the summer, free evening concerts will be held in the houses. Please contact the following number for concert details.

Volunteer Tourist Guides by Students

KSGF (Kanagawa Student Guide Federation) is a group of Japanese university students that offers a free tourist guide service in English around Kamakura and the Yokohama area. To use their service, simply go to the east exit of Kamakura stn on the weekends and holidays, from 10:00 to 12:00. They are usually their with their blue flag. You may also make a reservation prior to your visit.

Morning Tai Chi and Yoga Lessons

Spend the summer Sunday morning hours by learning Tai Chi (Chinese martial arts) and Yoga, and get refreshed! The lessons are for beginners, and you can come on the day you like. Non Japanese people are welcome, but you need to sign a consent form, so it is better to have basic Japanese skills, or come with someone who will translate it for you.
Date&Time: Every Sunday morning until Aug.30. Tai Chi is from 7:00-7:45, and Yoga is from 8:00-8:45
